Seven Teens Killed in Horror Car Accidents

Two teenagers were killed in an accident involving a truck in California on October 24th, 2014. California police boss said the 16-year-old Ragle Chris was pronounced dead at the scene while and Giles Gabriel succumbed to death while receiving treatment at the nearby hospital. According to police investigations, the teens were over speeding when Ragle lost and bumped into another car causing multiple accidents.

Although preliminary investigations show that the teen was over speeding, Ragle father claimed the car and some mechanical problems that may have caused an accident. The teens were from California High school and were involved in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program. The teens were on their way to school to work on the science project. It is disbelief, a time of shock and very sadness,’ said Polzin a student at California High School.

The passengers who sustained injuries have filed personal injury lawsuit against the teenager, while Gabriel’s parents are expected to file wrongful death lawsuit with the personal injury lawyer. The parents were overheard claiming that the lawsuit will serve as a warning to other teens who are involved in reckless driving or driving while under influence of drugs such as alcohol.

In other news, five teenagers were killed in a horror crash in Texas. The five teens have been named as 18, Blake Cairns, 16, Jordanna Goodwin, 16, Bartosz Bortniczak, Arpad Kore, 18, and Megan Storey, 16. One girl and two boys died at the scene of an accident while another girl and a boy succumbed to injuries in hospital. Police have arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but he was bailed later. After an accident, the road was closed while accident investigators probed the cause. Police have appealed for anybody who may have seen the vehicle before the collision to provide relevant information. Police are continuing with the investigations into the circumstances of the accident.

Car accidents are the leading cause of death for teens, especially in California. In 2011, around 2650 teens aged 16 to 19 years were killed in U.S and more than 292,000 suffered injuries in car accidents. This is quite alarming bearing in mind that young people aged 15 to 24 years represent only 14 percent of U.S population. Teen’s car accidents account for up to 30% of the total costs of car injuries.

File a lawsuit with the personal injury lawyer.

These are just a few cases in which students have caused deadly car accidents. Since 2009, there is a tremendous increase in motor vehicle accidents involving teenagers. This can be attributed to the fact that teens are likely to underestimate dangerous situations, or worse, not be able to know hazardous situations. They are likely to over speed and also drive under influence of drugs-(in 2014, among male teens involved in car accidents, 38% were over speeding at the time of the accident and 26% had been drinking).

If you have lost your loved one to the car accident or you have incurred car accident injuries, you may be eligible to file wrongful death lawsuit or personal injury lawsuit with a personal injury lawyer. It is very important to file a lawsuit as soon as possible.
